Bagpipe, fiddle and guitar, one of the most unlikely sonic threesomes imaginable come together seamlessly to create the sound that is Seven Nations.
Their remarkable sound is a fusion of two strangely complimentary musical styles: driving modern rock and foot-stomping traditional music. Both of which are delivered by the rich multi-octave voice of Kirk Mcleod and enhanced by his deeply personal and expressive lyrics.
See Seven Nations Saturday and Sunday at the festival grounds AND Saturday night downtown in the historic St. Cloud Hotel.

Called energetic, upbeat, and animated, Jonathan Ramsey is always in motion on stage. Still, in spite of his highly energetic and playful performances, his musical style remains true to the nature of Irish folk songs.
Not one to weep into a beer, he builds up from warm ballads to rebel songs, then on to pint-banging pub songs. Soon, everyone is grabbing an empty glass and joining the percussion.

Gobs O' Phun is composed of three dynamic lads influenced primarily by the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem. They are a family group made up of brothers Denis and Tim Sullivan and their brother-in-law, Martin Lambuth. "Gob" is slang in Ireland and Scotland for your mouth, and these three are primarily a vocal band. All three sing and all three engage in humorous banter, ad-libbing jokes with one another and the audience. Martin plays guitar and an occasional harmonica (be sure to request the "Gobs O' Phun Bagpipe" and which was originally called "Bagmonica", until the Clinton scandal). Denis plays the bodhran (an Irish drum... his cohorts call him the moron on the bodhran, which should give you a clue as to the pronunciation), and Tim plays the bones (2 flat sticks) and will torture the band with a banjo from time to time.
